Civil Engineering general structure notes :-

GENERAL NOTES:-

1. Basic reference code is IS 456:2000

2. Due care shall be taken to ascertain that requisite strength of concrete is gained before            commencement of deshuttering. It shall comply with provisions of Clause No. 11.3 of IS 456: 2000.

3. For cantilevers, top bars to be anchored behind from external face of support for - Ld or span of

 cantilever - whichever is greater. 

4. All dimensions are in feet and inches unless otherwise specified.

5. This drawing is to be read with relevant floor plan.

6. Use m-20 grade concrete & HYSD Fe-500 grade reinf.

7. Provide clear cover to reinforcement(For mild 

 

7.1. 50 mm in footing

7.2. 30 mm in column(width <200 mm)

7.3. 40 mm in column(width > 200 mm)

7.4. 25 mm in beams

7.5. 25 mm in slabs

8. All laps (ld) shall be staggered & not more than 50% bars to be lapped at any given section.

10.Supervision if specifically asked for will be provided to the extent of verification of reinforcement on site  but responsibility regarding correct & sound construction shall solely rest with contractor/ builder / owner in case of structural consultancy work.
